Monkey house in a new look

After our Crested Macaques moved into their new enclosure, we started reconstructing the front area of the monkey house in the autumn of 2018. This construction project is now largely completed and our monkey house now appears in its new splendor. (more…)

Start of construction work on the new shop

The renovation of the monkey house begins

The Barbary Macaques move to their new home

After a long construction period our Barbary Macaques were allowed to move into their new exhibit behind the monkey house on Friday, the 12th oy May. It had taken a long time until the construction work was completed, the enclosure was made escape-proof, and the interior had been decorated to the satisfaction of the keepers (and hopefully the monkeys as well). Birds kept indoors due to Avian Influenza

After many birds have died of Avian Influenza in the Lakes near Plön, the Ministry of Agriculture has deferred measures to prevent the further spread of this animal disease which also concerns us.
